Daniel Negreanu just can’t seem to stay out of the blogs this week. First there was allegations saying Negreanu was broke and now it is coming in that Daniel may be in advanced talks with some major poker rooms relating to an exclusive sponsorship deal, which would in essence kill any chance if any that Full Contact Poker had of surviving. Apparentely Negreanu has been having discussions with some of the major players (did someone say Full Tilt or Pokerstars) about signing on for an endorsement deal. The terms, exact room and other deals have not been disclosed but word on the street is that Negreanu is set to accept a major deal soon. Our bet, Full Tilt Poker. Read the rest of this entry »

Some new juicy poker gossip has just come on the wire from the 2+2 Poker forums regarding the financial situation of famous poker player Daniel Negreanu. The post authored by username AllVegasGuy on the forums, gives a detailed breakdown of how Negreanu has managed to essentially squander his poker winnings in a variety of ill-led business ventures and a poor run at gambling in the last year. AllVegasGuy claims to have insider knowledge of Negreanu’s finances and actions, as well as familiarity with members of his team. Although it appears that the thread was written in an attempt to take a shot at Daniel (AllVegasGuy hates him for thinking he is the god of poker), the post and consequent responses shed some interesting light on Negeranu and the health of his bankroll. Johnny Chan and his company is rumoured to have made an arrangement with the Casino Career Training Center in Buffalo, NY to brand an online training course for dealers surprisingly dubbed “Johnny Chan University”. The main idea behind the course according to Chan is to capitalize on the future demand especially in the Asian markets. Read the rest of this entry »

This is a really cool video about some professional card hustlers who staged a poker documentary with the Hendon Mob to show off their cheating tactics. Of course, the Hendon Mob players thought it was a legit documentary until told otherwise lol. This story was originally published on the Bankrollboost.com Poker Gossip blog, but I wanted to share it with our readers as well as it is such an interesting video:

There was some speculation after some comments were made by Daniel Negreanu about fellow poker pro Patrik Antonius as to whether Daniel had a so-called man on crush Patrik. The original comments were sparked from someone razzing Daniel that he was jealous of Phil Hellmuth, to which Daniel responded: Read the rest of this entry »
