The new PokerStars Sunday million winner was crowned last night, with Dynamite321 taking down a mammoth $163,795.94 for his efforts. The total number entrants was far lower than normal once again, with a little over 6000 players taking their seats at the tables last night. This was the lowest turn out since May 13, but there was still a lot of action to be found at the tables.

As the final table came and was whittled down to only 3 players, Dynamite321 had the chiplead over PearlJammer and Mikelars. Mikelars was the shortstack with $5.3 million, PearlJammer was in the middle with a decent $23.5 million, and Dynamite321 had more than both of them combined with $31.5 million. However, despite Dynamite321 having the big chiplead, PearlJammer was in with more than a decent chance, as he is a professional poker player named Jon Turner.

Jon Turner is a tournament specialist, and regularly plays on the PokerStars and Bodog rooms to make his living from online poker. He has had a number of big wins already this year, and has managed to rack up hundreds of thousands of dollars since January 2007.

Mikelars was the first player to be eliminated out of the 3 in an all-in coin flip situation. The blinds were $250,000/$500,000, and Dynamite321 raised it to $1.3 million preflop. Mikelars pushed all-in for 13.4 million and Dynamite321 called. Dynamite321 turned over Ad Jd and Mikelars turned over pocket Tens. This was a typical race situation, with Mikelars needing to avoid seeing a Jack or an Ace to stay in the tournament. The turn brought a Jack unfortunately for Mikelars, giving Dynamite321 the higher pair. Mikelars did not improve by the river and was knocked out in 3rd.

In the final hand of the tournament, PearlJammer limped in preflop, with Dynamite321 checking behind him. The flop came 9h 7h 2d and both players checked the flop. The turn then came the 9s, and Dynamite321 bet out $700,000. PearlJammer then raised it to $2.2 million, to which Dynamite321 replied with an all-in push, leaving PearlJammer with a difficult decision. Eventually he called, turning over Qs 7d for two pair. Dynamite321 turned over pocket deuces for a full house. PearlJammer needed to catch a 7 on the river to stay in the tournament, but unfortunately it came the Qd, giving the first place prize to Dynamite321.

Here are the final standings of the tournament:
