Yet again there was a slightly smaller than usual turnout for the Sunday million, but the stakes were still high as IG0tDibs scooped up the $188,176.68 first prize. There were a number of other big tournaments taking place that same weekend on rooms like Bodog and Full Tilt, which may explain the slightly lower than average attendance. However, a total of 6,543 entrants took their seats to try and win a piece of the eventual $1,308,600 prize pool.

As the last 10 players were seated at the final table, Flyndra was the chip leader with a total stack of $11.3 million. The short stack at the table was Babar31 with $2.2 million, and it wasn’t too long before he was eliminated along with another player after a few hands in through a quite peculiar play.

Babar31 was in early position with $1.6 million, with the blinds at $150,000 and $300,000. Babar31 pushed all-in and bobbybagpipe in a few seats over reraised all in for $4.8 million in total. The rest of the players at the table folded, apart from Roberta114 who went all in himself for $8.8. It was pretty obvious to the table that Roberta114 held a very strong holding. Roberta114 did indeed hold pocket aces, dominating Babar31’s Kh 9c and bobbybagpipe’s pocket tens. The flop came 5c 4s 2s 3c 10d, giving a straight to Roberta114 by the turn, so the ten made very little difference to bobbybagpipe’s hand. Babar31 finished in ninth place winning $8,113 and bobbybagpipe was out in eighth place winning $13,086. This win gave Roberta114 the chip lead as there were now 8 players left at the table.

The action would continue at a very fast pace, as the chip lead changed hands on numerous occasions. There were a number of bad beats and outdraws, but after a few hours of play, we were left with some swift heads-up action between IG0tDibs and Downosaur. The chip stacks were pretty close as the battle started, with IG0tDibs having $34.8 million and Downosaur having $30.7 million, but the action was to only last for a mere 60 seconds.

Downosaur raised it to $2 million preflop and IG0tDibs called. The flop came Ad Jd 6h, and IG0tDibs checked. Downosaur bet $2.8 million and IG0tDibs called. The turn came 8h and it was checked to Downosaur once again. Downosaur then bet a hefty $9.8 million, and IG0tDibs came over the top, checkraising enough to put Downosaur all in. Downosaur did indeed call, turning over Ah 6s for two pair. However, IG0tDibs turned over Ac 8c for the higher two pair, leaving Downosaur needing to catch a 6 to win or a J to split the pot. However, the river came the 5d, and IG0tDibs took home the colossal first prize.

The results of the tournament were as follows:

1) IG0tDibs - $188,176.68
2) downosaur - $98,014.14
3) Roberta114 - $70,533.54
4) roosterfish - $54,961.20
5) flyndra - $42,006.06
6) EirikS - $30,097.80
7) PokerSkill - $21,591.90 8) bobbybagpipe - $13,086
9) babar31 - $8,113.32
