PokerTube Review

Pokertube.com was set up back in 2005, as a runoff from the infamous YouTube website that hosts a huge variety of different videos. The idea behind PokerTube was to provide poker fans with a more concentrated selection of poker videos that can be found all on one website. The technology involved in poker on the whole has developed significantly since the older days of poker back in the 70’s/80’s, with fans being able to connect to the internet at the click of a mouse to discover whatever information they require about events and such.

PokerTube has taken this to the next level and enabled viewers to casually view poker videos from TV programs and videos uploaded from the users themselves. With users being able to upload their very own videos, this provides the public with a chance to express their views via showing such things as their own home games, opinions on other games/hands and anything else poker related.

The website has been created with the YouTube design obviously in mind, with slight alterations with colouring etc. This design is very familiar to most users of the internet and in turn provides the user with comfortable browsing among their favourite poker media. Another positive of the website is that it doesn’t beat around the bush as it were, no crappy boring information or irrelevant material is found spamming up the website, but the focus is exactly where it should be, on all of the poker videos. The site is easy to navigate; bold links, clear titles and a simple search bar enable you to find exactly what you are looking for.

As for the content of YouPoker.com, it is all relevant content to poker so there are no worries about sifting through hoards of rubbish! A large proportion of the content on YouPoker.com is related to professional TV broadcasted shows, but in addition to this there are many online live game recordings at both high and low stakes.

This particular site seems to have the potential to appeal to a very wide range of players; many games are covered along with different environments and types of players. One thing about the content is that a large majority of it could most likely be found in other sites such as YouTube.com, but the convenience of having all of the poker related videos together will surely attract a large amount of visitors. The lack of ad’s scattered about everywhere provides an additional attraction factor for potential visitors!
